Market Details

We will be keeping an ongoing waitlist for these markets, so even though the deadline has passed, you may still fill out an application.

We’re excited to announce that we will be hosting two holiday markets at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal in Fairhaven! This venue is lovely, and will be decorated for the holidays. In the past, other organizations have held holiday markets here, so locals are familiar with it as a shopping venue for handmade gifts. Last year we had a ‘passport’ for shoppers to get stamped by all the vendors in order to enter a raffle, and we had some great raffle prizes. We will be doing something similar to make sure that shoppers interact with each vendor. Also, we love this venue because there is ample parking for vendors and shoppers alike!

Because of the overwhelming success of our Shop Small Saturday event last year, we're taking it to the next level with a 2-day extravaganza on the Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend! And based on feedback we received last year, many shoppers are eager to do last minute shopping in December, so we decided to host a second market. We strategically chose the final weekend right before the Christmas weekend.

One of the great things about renting the Ferry Cruise Terminal is that vendors will be able to leave their booths set up overnight on the Saturday night of each market! Less loading in and out!

You can apply for one market or both. In order to present a well-curated market, we may accept some vendors for only one of the two weekends. We also ask in the application if you would like to be contacted if there is a possibility of just participating for one day. We don’t know yet if this will be an option, but we want to gauge interest.

After the application deadline of 9/1/2023, any applications we receive will be waitlisted. Make sure you submit your application by the deadline in order to be considered when we meet to make our acceptances.

This market is open to handmade makers, artists and artisans. Obviously in the process of hand making our items, all of us use some bought supplies and components. But we want to showcase vendors who are pouring their creative energies into what they sell.

We believe that having our vendors promote the market is key to bringing the shoppers!  Participating vendors are required to promote the market on their social media at least three out of four designated times. We will email you four different times with a graphic and suggested text for you to post that day or the next day. We will do our part too by advertising on local online events calendars, reaching out to news sources, putting up posters and flyers, and contacting our growing list of shoppers who gave us their emails to learn about upcoming markets.

You must be reachable via email. All notifications and reminders will be sent via email from BMM@bellinghammakersmarket.com. When you fill out the application form, please enter an email address that you check regularly. If you miss a deadline because an email went to your spam, junk or gmail's 'promotions' folder, we will assume that you are no longer interested in participating, and will offer your place to a vendor on the waitlist.

The booth photo is a required part of your application. We will not consider your application without a booth photo. We want to see your products beautifully displayed in your canopy, with all your signage. If you haven't created a booth photo before, there are lots of tips online. We will be using this photo to help us understand the quantity and variety of products you sell, and to visualize how it will look in a row of booths. Impress us!

We're so excited to celebrate the holiday season with two amazing markets!
